A Fortunate Arival
[Arriving on Base]
[He was vaguely aware of waking up inside a small capsule. If he was to describe it he would liken it to one of those escape pods you see in scifi films. He might have had more to describe if he hadn't been violently jerked out of one perceived reality to another. After all, it was a little hard to go from a rather unpleasant state to suddenly waking up in a small capsule and being attacked by some horrible sea monster.]
Oh what bad luck!
[But as soon as he said that much a laser fired out and monster got distracted going somewhere else. before he knew it something was shooting him out and directly towards the base. Though his legs were a little wobbly, and he definitely needed a moment to gather himself it didn't take too much effort to board. As soon as he walked in he smiled cheerfully.]
It was lucky after all!
[Med Bay]
[Despite a safe arrival he was not in a good state. Being stationary for the minimum of a month, the maximum of who even knows is hard on the body, especially Nagito's body. For the time being he was simply resting in one of the beds, though trying to get up every so often to move around. However, staying here was troubling him. He had taken measure of himself, it was someone else. A person that worried him.]
I guess my assumption was true then....
[Did that mean he failed? He had to know... he had to know if his plan had been successful, if he had saved them! Still... if he was here....
He lifted up his left arm and stared at the hand there. That hand that didn't belong. A woman's hand with red nails....]
This really is unlucky in the end.
[Library]
[It was later at night and Nagito had more or less made camp in the room. There wasn't anywhere else for him to go. Taking a private room didn't feel right, and he couldn't bare the thought of sharing it with others. However, he liked the idea of being where all the books in this place were. He could read them at leisure, and unless someone told him he couldn't stay... well, it was a free space, right?]

G, GAAAAHHHH?! Y-YOU!
[Last time it was pure fear and confusion, though. There's much of that in his reaction to seeing Nagito lying in the med bay bed, but there's anger, too, bubbling up so suddenly inside of him that he takes his breath away.
(Well, the screaming didn't help with that, either.)
He jabs a finger in the direction of the bed, red-faced and refusing to actually enter the room, which means he's screaming in the med bay and blocking the door, like an asshole.]
You've gotta be shitting me!

Kazuichi kun. How disappointing. I suppose this answers my concerns though. How sad....
[He sighs deeply, it was a mix of agitation and disappointed.]
Go away, I don't want to deal with your stupidity.
no subject
[He spits that out automatically. It's the kind of thing you just say when you're thrown off kilter and grasping at straws, like your mom! Except, once it's out of his mouth, the rest of it comes with it: the truth behind the comment, not as casual as even Kazuichi thought it was when he said it.]
You . . . you aren't allowed! You're not allowed to be here! What gives you the fuckin' right to be here with us, you bastard?! What kind of sick fuck would give you a second chance after what you did?!
no subject
[ His tone was condescending and still exasperated, however it also had a tired tone to it. He didn't need this, he didn't have the energy to deal with Kazuichi of all people right now. He had a lot of questions both about his location and his physical state.
He had read his profile, he had a basic understanding... but, it was different being in it. Not to mention he was dead! Even if it was virtual.... ]
After what I did?
[ Incredulous. ]
You're far worse. The fact you're alive is a travisty! The world was suppose to be saved, and yet... you are here!

I'm sure it could be worse.
[ She looked down at him, then back to the sheet she'd been studying when she came in. ]
At least the air composition doesn't burn off layers of your lungs, for example.
no subject
Well...
[It really could... there was enough on his mind where he hadn't wanted to think that far though.]
I suppose at the very least in that case I don't need to feel lucky.
[What if something cracked? What if it flooded.... He had been so distracted by the foreign aspect of his entire situation that the anxiety of those worries hadn't shown themselves until that moment. Quickly, he needed to talk about something else.]
I'm sorry for having come here unannounced. I hope I don't get in the way of your work. It just seemed like a natural place to come to. You don't have to mind me.

[ Rather than comforting, it sounded a bit distracted and uncaring. Valentine, nurse though she was, could probably use a couple of lessons on bedside manner.
But she was too busy with more useful things, honestly.
Though she could give him a check up. ]
What was the manner of your arrival?

Hello! I hope I'm not in your way. It was late so I assumed there wouldn't be much traffic.

The library is for everyone so you can stay as long as you like.

Oh, I was not aware anyone was sleeping in here. I apologize if I interrupted you in anything.

[His tone was friendly and he even smiled. It wasn't a bother at all, it was only to be expected in fact. There were a number of people on this base after all... so many, it was almost worrying. But, there was no reason to think about that at the moment.
Especially since....
Was he dreaming? Or was this cosplay?]
Um... I can go somewhere else if it's a bother.
[Not that he wanted to.]
But it seemed like a nice place to stay.
[Those horns looked very real. Was he really seeing what he thought he was? Lots of questions raced through his mind but he didn't dare ask any of them yet.]
Re: Library
[She walks over to a bookshelf and scans the titles before pulling out the book about the AI Vampire. The library has a rather varied selection so far, ranging from trashy romance and vampires to philospahy book about the end of humanity and the meaning of hope. Kanaya settles down on one of the chairs in the room. Her skin starts glowing white and here eyes are now bright yellow. It's great when you are your own reading light.]
I agree that this room is indeed nice. Before we made the private rooms, I usually did my sewing projects in here.

but her memories (incorrectly) tell her that naegi had promised going to ursula would be the way to wake everyone. she pauses in the doorway, eyes wide. ]
It...it really is...is everyone else awake as well? Where are the others?
[ there's relief mingled with hope in her tone, because they'd meant to wake everyone up. even komaeda. apparently. ]
no subject
[He looked towards where Sonia stood, casually moving his hands to his pockets.]
Honestly I wasn't expecting to be awake.... I was hoping I would die.
[So had his plan failed or...? He was missing too much information. Things weren't quite what he had hoped at all. However... he needed a question answered before anything else. Based on what she was saying... maybe she knew the answer?]
Do you know who the traitor was?
[It was the most important question.]
no subject
...Of course I do. More importantly, I know that none of us were going to "die" on the island...though none of us could have known that would be the case. It was not quite a real place, Komaeda-san. I am not entirely certain that I want to discuss it with you when your last reaction to new information was to, er, do what you did, however.

[His tone was very pleasant and casual, he sounded rather joyful as well.]
Anyway, isn't there something comforting about libraries and books?

[ yeah ok def a homeless guy. who else would casually refer to themselves as trash?? though magnus isn't going to correct him since, hey, he could be legit trash. who knows. maybe trash people are a thing like dwarves and elves. ]
Yeah, but do you really want to live in one when there are better options?

With full consciousness of how phenomenally awkward this is in terms of a first meeting, do you need to get that replaced? It should only take a couple days to put something together.

I....
[What did he want to do? He wasn't quite sure. He knew he didn't want it.]
That sounds too simple.

Go away!
[He probably should have looked harder, but he was just not feeling it at all today.]
Re: med bay
Haah -- ?!
[holding his arm to his chest, he stares at this newcomer, noticing three things in quick succession: the sickly tint to the stranger's skin, his sharp eyes, and what he swears is nail polish on one hand?]
