[Although the month is drawing to a close, there's still plenty to do--such as clearing out the last few rabites, working on constructing portions of the new and improved base, sharing various information gleaned from the month's efforts, and make sure to have some downtime in between all of that. Getting a sun tan before fall fully sets in is important too!]

You thought so too, huh? The ingredients are stored so that they last longer, but you can tell they aren't as fresh if you eat too much of it. They might work better as supplemental ingredients to a meal rather than a whole meal on their own.

[sipping at his drink again; he seems fine, though every now and then he takes too big of a sip and makes a face at the aftertaste.]

I can imagine. It would've been helped by more greens and seasoning, but I suppose that apart from lab gardens like the one that was initially here at the base, it's a lot more difficult to stow the resources for growing fresh and flavorful produce on a spaceship. Especially if it takes as long to reach a planet as those books from the Aurora say...

[passing the glass over and taking another swig of water in the meantime. it's about half gone so there's still some for Mikleo to try, as long as he doesn't try to down it in one shot.]

Other than the aftertaste it's pretty good. Just, you know, strong.

[he just takes a sip and then passes it back over, eyes watering a little as he swallows]

I--I'm no expert--but yeah, that's pretty strong.

[r-reaches over and pats him on the back.]

I think that's supposed to be a part of the appeal. I don't feel any different though.

Would you be able to really tell if you felt different, if you were drunk?

Yeah, probably.

Even if I couldn't tell, you'd be able to tell me.

That is sort of why I agreed to supervise.

[perking up and scooting in closer, looking around for said book]

[he colors a little, perhaps unexpectedly, and tucks it further behind him]

Sorey, focus on your new alcohol experience.

[A normally sober Sorey would notice an additional but of color on Mikleo's face, but current working-on-his-second-drink Sorey is unfortunately oblivious to it. Not to say he's too tipsy, but he is a little bit more enthusiastic. It's hard to tell, he's always enthusiastic.]

[oh my god. leans back over it almost protectively]

[Since it seems like a perfectly reasonable selection to him, there's no teasing over it. He leans in too far to grab it, bumping shoulders with Mikleo and then just staying there while he flips through the pages to chapter 1.]

You're supposed to be keeping Rose and Alisha company, you know -- I--I haven't started it yet.

[he was GOING TO WAIT UNTIL THE REST OF THEM WERE SLOSHED]

[He stops at what is presumably chapter one and begins reading aloud.]
