So in non-radiation-leaking news…[There’s a slight pause and then the splashing of water like Percy’s still in the ocean.] Staying away from the Kharaa sounded like a great idea and I might have found something else.

The place where the water flows below. I think I found it. [And for anyone who wasn’t part of the Grand Reef exploration:] When we went to explore the Grand Reef some of the fish kept mentioning something that attacked the Degasi crew and that one of them might’ve sunk to the water that flows below. Problem is I don’t know if that means one of the crew members or one of whatever attacked them.

Anyway, I’m going back. I didn’t get far enough to really explore down there but there’s a bunch of caves and waterfalls that need to be checked out. [A beat.] Annnd some other stuff.

[That’s not ominous at all.] The tunnels should be big enough to get a submarine down there if anybody wants to come with me. [And suddenly he seems a little more commanding.] I don’t know what we’re going to find down there but if you think you can hold your own, let me know. I want to go back soon.

I do. This goes outside of your duties as my assistant, but you have a spot on one of those subs. [There's a lull though.] But when you get down there I need you to stay away from the river. Okay?

[That's unexpected. But anything Fi has to share must be important.]

I visited the location of the unusually large hotspot in the dreamscape. I believe I also encountered the water that flows below, and by following it, I encountered an extremely large skeleton of a beast unknown to me. It had a strange sense to its energy, though it was not evil, and the energy was strong. There might have been other spots of note, but differentiating them was not the simplest task while alone.

I would like to accompany you to view this area while awake.

Count me in. I don't need the sub as long as I can get bring some oxygen tanks or whatever.

Seems pretty bulky, dude, but in the interest of not suffocating sounds good to me. [Plus it's Kon and he wants Kon to come along.] Question, does the water affect your powers at all?

You know I can't say no to a good exploration. I want to see if we can find any more clues to the Emperor's children down there, too.

[he sounds relieved actually. after the pulse on the 7th and the Kharaa news the day after, this is a wonderful distraction. possibly hazardous also? but at least it's more straightforward]

Korra told me that some of us talked to the Emperor while it was stuck in a cave, but not much about its kids. I know the reef fish confirmed they weren't out there but why are you looking for them?

[It's not accusatory, mostly just curiosity. There's always so much going on on this base, but it keeps him busy and he likes hearing about this. Plus he seems to be thinking the same thing. Exploration? A good distraction that's not as dangerous as alien bodysnatchers.] I was hoping you and Sorey would be up for helping navigate the caves. He told me you guys used to explore ruins back home.

I would like to go, if you still have space. My magic can be quite useful in open water.

[ Asgore's voice was a friendly rumble. He felt like he hadn't been pulling much of his weight around here so far; this seemed like a good time to start. ]

I am rather large, though. If there won't be enough space for the rest of the crew, I understand you preferring to leave me behind.

[He kind of wants to ask how large is large, but it doesn't make a huge difference to him. He understands the value of team members of varying sizes and strengths anyway, so when he responds his tone is lighter but just as friendly.]

If it's a problem, we'll take two subs. No big deal. I don't know what we're going to find out there but it shouldn't stop anybody who really wants to come along. What kind of magic?

Barriers are good. If we find anything dangerous we can use them to shield or contain whatever it is. [Plus magic always piques his interest a little.] What else can your magic do?

[Bolin is scared, honestly. His previous explorations yielded some mixed results that have had him in a funk for a few days now, but he needs to get out of it one way or another.

Exploration seems like a good way to go about it.]

[Oh gods why. He already has one 14-year-old that initially fought with him about her skills, but he's just. Going to humor this anyway and see what happens. He won't say no, but he really would like to hear her case.]

I was hoping you'd say that. I could really use your help down there anyway. It's hard to tell if the caves are intertwined or not but the more people we have, the more ground we can cover.
