pulse, and other, open mingle (12-7 to whenever)
[Wowee! We get hit with a pulse on the seventh! Isn't that fun! Also, a ship crashed, and baby it's cold inside. Some prompts.
A: Pulse: A pulse hit the planet! Life support went out, and that super sucks, but it will only last for an hour. Maybe more sucky: some or all of your powers may or may not have died! That's awkward. Are you disappointed you can't walk through walls now? Has nothing changed for you? Are you now a dead girl because you made a deal some aliens? Are you a sword? Have fun kids, and try not to hold a Class Trial.
B: Salvage: That sure was a ship that went down! URSULA identified it as the Narcissus which is apparently a human military ship so obviously this will be safe and no one is going to come across any type of trouble salvaging the ship. Maybe someone should text Naoko to tell her what's going on. Everything is fine.
C: Blanket-sharing meme: You know what you're here for.
D: ETC: Roxy is putting up mistletoe, there are flowers, people keep building stupid things. Do whatever!]
[ooc: OOC post here??]

[when the pulse hits, Mikleo is, unfortunately, chilling inside Sorey's soul while they read in the kitchen. while he doesn't wind up party of the oncoming corpse party, the effect is dramatic and a little hazardous: Mikleo's straight-up hurled out of Sorey's body with a shout of alarm, smacking into a table and narrowly missing hitting his head, before sliding into a confused heap on the floor.
when the lights come back on -- for people who can't normally see him, he is completely visible and tangible, and looks kind of dazed. for people who can normally see him, perhaps the clearest physical marker that something is different is his hair: instead of its usual blue-tinged white, it's turned brown all through.]
c. cuddlefish
[except on the notable occasion of the 7th, Mikleo has no problem with a chilly base -- ice is part of his element, after all. that doesn't mean he's immune to being yanked into blanket forts and the like, however, and also he and Sorey may or may not be taking the opportunity to drag people in with them to watch some movies on one of the portable pads.
join them? they might need to be shushed sometimes, since they like to analyze the movies as they watch, but it'll be warm.]
d. wildcard
[hit me up with whatever else, either while Mikleo's human on the 7th or before/after that!]
a
What the heck was that? Are you okay, Mikleo?
[and then his eyes go to Mikleo's hair and he squints in confusion. did he hit his head and now he's seeing things in weird colors??? that doesn't sound right.]
no subject
(he can't feel the water...?)]
I don't know? I think I'm okay, but things feel a little off...what about you? What was that?
no subject
the space where their pact should be feels wispy and empty, which is odd, but he doesn't find it that alarming yet because Mikleo is still clearly right here.]
I feel okay. I think I'm seeing things though.
no subject
Seeing things? Like what?
no subject
Your hair is brown.
[he says it like a question that he's asking an answer to, possibly to confirm he isn't going crazy]

c for sorey and karkat; early in the month
on the other hand that means Karkat's holding the pad as the movie buffers and has full control of picking the actual movie. and stuff like the volume. and pausing it to yell at them if he must. they don't seem to mind that much]
This one's a romance, right?
no subject
It looks more like the romance is a subplot to the actual story. Hmm, how much romance does a movie need to have for it to be considered a romance, actually?
no subject
If the plot is carried by the romance then it's usually considered a romantic film. Like how in Titanic, the main focus is Rose and Jack and the whole hundreds of people dying horribly is a subplot. So the movie's a romance.

d for sorey; later in the month
the thing is, he's thought about this. he shelved it for the past few weeks while they looked for any sign of Rose, but it's not like any of that buildup, any of those feelings, have vanished. and he'll be damned if he gets into a debate about kissing Sorey for fun while they don't have everything straightened out yet.
FINE. HE'S GOING TO DO IT. HE'S GOING TO TELL HIM]
no subject
What, not much for Christmas traditions? I thought it was a cute one.

the confession not the mistletoe]

[at any rate, there's a tall blonde woman peering at and studying the Zesty boys' blanket fort with clear curious interest. she's mumbling thoughtfully to herself, too]
But what is the benefit of the structure being made of pillows and blankets. . .?
no subject
It's a little impractical, but it gets pretty warm after a while.
no subject
. . . I see! It's a more effective way of combating the cold, correct? How clever.

She's never seen Mikleo before, so Hotaru thinks she sees a new person who somehow arrived when everything was down? ]
Is everything okay? Do you need help? Do you know where you are?
no subject
Yes, I didn't hit my head, just my arm--are you okay? What was that--
[and then 'Hotaru can definitely see him' filters in, and he looks more shaken than ever, like he's not sure whether to be happy or not]
Hotaru, it's--it's me. It's Mikleo.
no subject
Her head whips up, and she stares at him. The voice sounds similar (because it's the same). It's Mikleo? It's Mikleo. She can see Mikleo?
She can see Mikleo.
She can see Mikleo!
Her heart moves before her brain, and she leaps to hug him. Two seconds later, she registers his expression and what this means. She steps back, concerned. ]
Are you sure you're okay? I'm happy I can see you, but— I don't know what this means for you. Why can I see you?
no subject
I, I'm not sure at all...the lights went out, and then...? I feel a bit strange.
